TORONTO POP-UP SHOP AT MILK GLASS

It’s happening, Toronto, as promised.

VINTAGE POP-UP SHOP
Saturday December 10th from noon-9pm
at Milk Glass (1247 Dundas St. W., btwn Ossington and Dovercourt)

This is another collaboration with the wonderful Kristin Somborac, who will be co-presenting the collection of vintage womenswear, jewelry, and accessories.

For the first time we’ll also have vintage kid’s clothing available, and botanicals for sale from one of my favourite shops, Stamen & Pistil.

There’s even a bar at the back, so come pop in for a drink and shop for your upcoming holiday parties and gift-giving. xx Shanan

COLLINGWOOD VINTAGE POP-UP PARTY

It’s coming, my friends!  I am excited to announce that the hometown crowd of Collingwood gets the season’s first holiday vintage pop-up party (Toronto, we’re coming for you next on December 1oth – details to come).

I’ve got an incredible selection of lovingly chosen vintage clothes, accessories, and jewelry as well as art prints that make great gifts.

There will be bubbly and snacks, plus lots of good cheer and fun fashion.

Here’s the map link to ‘The Orchard’ in case you haven’t made it over this way before (just five minutes south of downtown Collingwood). Please feel free to bring along friends; the more the merrier!  I can’t wait to see you.

THE SPRING IS SPRUNG…

… The grass is riz; I wonder where the vintage is?

It’s right here, my friends – it’s all right here.

The Symmetric comes out of hibernation to present:

A (thank god it’s <finally>) SPRING POP-UP!

Sunday, MAY 1st from 11am-3pm
at The Orchard, 7739 Nottawasaga Side Rd 36/37
(that’s in Nottawa, ON, five minutes south of Collingwood – here’s a map)

I’ve spent the winter hoarding pretty dresses, lightweight knits, and lots of other warm-weather vintage staples, including a collection of jewelry, accessories, and for the first time, shoes.  I’ll have bubbly and snacks and let’s cross our fingers for some sunshine, shall we? Can’t wait to see you.

POP POP! IN THE CITY

First off – yes, I don’t know what is with that post title either.  I feel like a really tame early ’90s rapper or something.

The Collingwood vintage pop-up party I put together a couple of weeks ago was such a great success that my old Toronto friend Kristin (whom you may remember from Natural Habitat fame – only she now lives in an even cooler place) invited me to have one at her house in December.

Kristin had worked in film for ages and is now a wardrobe stylist so it seems like a perfect fit.  She has been adorable and really helpful and accommodating and I’m so excited to bring you The Symmetric pop-up 2.TO (working title, guys. I’m clearly having issues today).

Spread the word, bring your friends, come and hang out with us and shop for some amazing vintage clothing, jewelry, homewares and art.  In the meantime, follow The Symmetric on Instagram to get sneak peeks of the goods, and to make me feel a little less alone out there in cyberspace.

Okay, enough talk:

Please join us!

THE SYMMETRIC x stylist Kristin Somborac

warmly invite you to a

310 Wallace Avenue (in Toronto’s Junction Triangle neighbourhood, view map)

For anyone who can’t make it out that evening, I’ll be taking appointments for private shopping and wardrobe consults here through the holidays.

I’m excited! I’m nervous! I am all the feelings. Hope to see you soon.
